Engineered wood 2
October 27th, 2009 by admin
Wood used in construction includes products such as glued laminated timber (glulam), laminated veneer lumber (LVL), parallam and I-joists. On the one hand these allow the use of smaller pieces, and on the other hand allow bigger spans. They may also be selected for specific projects such as public swimming pools or ice rinks where the wood will not corrode in the presence of certain chemicals. These engineered wood products prove to be more environmentally friendly, and sometimes cheaper, than building materials such as steel or concrete.Wood unsuitable for construction in its native form may be broken down mechanically (into fibres or chips) or chemically (into cellulose) and used as a raw material for other building materials such as chipboard, engineered wood, hardboard, medium-density fiberboard (MDF), oriented strand board (OSB).

October 27th, 2009 by admin
It took a great deal of information and motivation for my best friend to believe that we have effective treatment methods to get rid of warts. I would like to give the pride to the key information about warts, its cause, symptoms and the treatment methods suggested by the physicians which was available in the web for providing the confidence as well as the right path to choose for him to get his skin warts free. He went through a minor surgery to remove the tissue affected by wart and then the scar left behind was vanished in few months and he returned to his normal life after the treatment.

Metal Inert Gas Welding
October 26th, 2009 by admin
In normal welding that was usually done by oxygen acetylene flame the main problem was porosity and brittleness which was solved by the use of argon helium which are inert gases and exist in the mono-atomic state in nature in minute quantities. This is known as metal inert gas welding. Carbon steels, steel with low alloy quantity, stainless variety of steel, aluminum and copper alloys can be welded by metal inert gas welding.. An active electrode is used to strike an electric arc between it and the metal to be welded. The metal to be welded is kept in the form of sheets. An inert gas atmosphere envelops the arc and does not allow the metals to be oxidized at that high temperature.

Rice cooker – cooking times, size and warranty
October 26th, 2009 by admin
If I’m looking to buy a new rice cooker, I like models which have short cooking times as I am always in a rush during meal hours. Moreover, I make sure the size of the rice cooker fits my kitchen countertop, and its design is pleasant enough. Well, I think to have some warranty is nice since I really don’t want to buy a rice cooker that can only last me few weeks. When researching for my best rice cooker, I know that I don’t need other fancy features such as slow cooker features or steamer but I don’t mind to have them either if the price still stay within my affordable budget.

The three secrets of Executive Protection
October 25th, 2009 by admin
What are the three secrets to Executive Protection and why are they secret? They are secret because one or more of the following is a secret to most Agents’ and their Protectee. The three secrets that must be present in any good detail is proper Threat Assessment, which includes identifying, validating and classifying the threat. The second secret is a Site Advance which must occur well ahead of the protective detail. The third secret is the protective detail itself. Many executive protection agents do not conduct a proper Threat Assessment or Site Advance. This occurs due to a lack of experience, absence of resources and funding or at the uninformed direction of the Protectee. To be successful and keep your Protectee and their family safe, these three secrets must be used every time.

Suspicious Minds
October 25th, 2009 by admin
When my husband started coming home late from his office, I started to get suspicious. It seemed to me that it was coincidental that he just got a new secretary. I did what any trusting, but suspicious wife would do. I invested in some spy cameras. One in the office and one in the car. He had no idea. I did feel a little guilty, but I removed them as soon as I realized he was really working. I was relieved that I did not need to confront him about anything. I gave the cameras away to my sister who was wondering the same thing about her husband of fifteen years.
