Free At Last

Today is debt freedom day and boy are we celebrating here at our home. Today we finally finished paying off all of the debt consolidation loans and the last of the credit cards. I felt like the heavens should sing and the clouds should part in acknowledgement of this giant feat. We have been working at chipping them away for about four years now. It’s going to be amazing next month with all the extra money we will have in our budget. Naturally, we’re going to take about 80% of the excess and put it into savings and our retirement funds. I just can’t wipe the grin off my face.
