A New Respect

My favorite uncle has been a DJ for as long as I can remember. As a young child, I used to watch him at work and think about what a fun and easy job he had. He got to spend his time at dance clubs, meeting new people and having fun, and all he had to do was turn a couple of knobs. But when I got older, I learned that dj mixing was not quite as easy as that. A person had to have a knowledge of timing and beat patterns, as well as an intuitive sense of what made music sound good. Since I learned this, I have gained a new respect for him.

Remo Djembe Could Be Better

It is just very great to know that there are so many things out there that we can do to express ourselves. It sometimes make me feel empathic for those people who still do not know what to do with themselves. But then when the remo djembe came, things just got better. I really know that we would all be able to make things work if we would try as hard. I guess that the cheap remo djembe, is so amazing. I would really love making things work so fine. I feel very happy that we have the remo djembe here to make this all worth it.

Maybe He Was Serious

The other day, my son pulled his dad’s guitar out of the basement. It was covered with dust, because it hadn’t been used in over ten years. He blew it off, took out the instrument, polished it, and started to pluck at the strings. I was surprised at how good he sounded, because he has never owned a guitar or had lessons. Maybe he was serious when he told me that he wanted to take blues guitar lessons. I laughed it off when he said it, but I can see now that he has some inborn talent. I guess I need to start looking around.
