Travel Insurance for Flights

February 12th, 2010 by admin

I don’t often cancel flights only for emergencies which are rare, so it shouldn’t occur to me to purchase travel insurance. It is for that reason that travelers like myself are setting themselves up for loss. Sometimes it is a substantial amount of money you are dealing with.  Big-name airlines like Southwest will provide credit towards your cancelled flight, but their flights maybe already so low that it seems frivolous. A cruise vacation on the other hand is a different story. These vacations can stretch for weeks and amount to over $10,000. If the cruise ship were to go bankrupt or if you had to miss the trip for whatever reason, you don’t want to be the one who will suffer from the loss. travel insurance tips will advise that for expensive trips such as cruise vacations paying for trip cancellation insurance will be worth more than the consequences.
